STRAY dogs on the runway at the Piarco International Airport forced the tarmac to be closed.
The incident took place on Wednesday morning, when a Caribbean Airlines flight from Tobago had to return to the ANR Robinson International Airport after not being able to land in Piarco.
It eventually landed at 9. 37 am.
Several other flights were also unable to leave Trinidad as airport authorities dealt with the issue.
