A VEHICULAR accident caused a powerline to be damaged at Lange Park, Chaguanas, and the Montrose Government Primary School to be evacuated.
The incident occurred at around 9.50 am on Wednesday. The line was seen on the pavement and roadway.
Member of Parliament for Chaguanas East Vandana Mohit told AZP News that the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) was working on the issue.
On Wednesday morning she said, “I am currently in contact with T&TEC to have this resolved at the soonest. Checks are being made to have a crew dispatched to have the issue dealt with at the soonest.”
By Wednesday evening, Mohit said the crew was on-site and works were taking a while to be completed and should have been completed by around 5 pm.
