THE body of little Kamani Francis was found around 11 am on Tuesday.
It was found in the Guapo River, an area that was searched several times by various rescue groups after he went missing on Monday.
Police had issued a missing person report on the two-year-old that is just two-feet-tall on Tuesday morning following failed attempts to find him on Monday.
Francis, had wandered from his Techier Village home in Point Fortin and was last seen wearing pampers.
Almost in tears, one member who spent the night searching for the boy said he understood the difficulty of the situation.
He said it was difficult to cope with as Francis was found just about five minutes from where he lived.
Social media was flooded with condolences to the family from citizens with many also calling for some-one to be held accountable for his death.
