AFTER much backlash from customers, KFC is now offering free ketchup, mustard and pepper.
In a press release on Monday, KFC welcomed back customers for in-house dining and stated that condiments were included with the meals.
KFC stated, “We’ve heard your passionate and clear feedback and concerns and are making the necessary changes to meet your expectations.”
In mid-March, customers were told they had to now pay $2 for condiments which included two packets of ketchup, two packets of mustard and one pack of pepper. However, many took to social media to express dissatisfaction.
The popular fast-food chain restaurant that has 60 branches across Trinidad and Tobago had remained closed for in-house dining even though Safe Zone policies could have been adopted.
“To celebrate the return of dine-in to our restaurants, KFC is pleased to inform you of the inclusion of condiments with meal. Ketchup mustard and pepper will once again accompany your meal orders for dine-in, pick-up and delivery options,” KFC stated in its release.
Last month, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley announced that all Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted in the country on April 4 with the exception of a few such as unvaccinated foreigners not being allowed entry as yet.
Mask wearing is still mandatory but safe zones are no more.
