A 37-year-old Arima man has been charged for murder.
Michael Quamina also called Stan, 23, of Olton Road, is expected to appear virtually before an Arima Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Adrian Bailey, which occurred on Monday January 17, 2022. He was also charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm to endanger life and possession of ammunition to endanger life, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Friday, February 18.
Bailey, 37, of Arima, was at Olton Road, on Monday 17th January, 2022, when a gunman approached on foot and shot him several times before fleeing the scene. The victim died at the scene.The accused was arrested on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, by officers of the Northern Division Anti-Gang Unit in the Maloney district.Investigations were supervised by ASP Douglas, Insp Ramjag, Inspector John and Insp Sylvester, all of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Two.
Quamina was charged on Saturday by PC Hosten, also of HBI Region Two.
