THE Tobago Council of the People’s National Movement (PNM) will hold its executive elections on April 24.
On Thursday, a release from the PNM stated that nomination forms will be available from February 24 at the party’s Tobago head office at Robinson Street, Scarborough.
Political Leader of the Tobago Council, Tracy Davidson-Celestine described this as another exciting period for the party and extended best wishes to all candidates.
“It’s always a great opportunity when our members are willing to serve and help guide the future direction,” Davidson-Celestine said.
There are 17 positions on the party’s executive as follows: Political Leader, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Lady Vice Chairman, General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer, Social Media Officer, Labour Officer, Welfare Officer, Education Officer, Research Officer, Elections Officer, Field Officer, Youth Officer and the Operations Officer.
On December 6, 2021, power was snatched away from the PNM as the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) won 14 seats, which left one seat for the PNM out of 15 in the Tobago House of Assembly elections.
The majority of the Tobago executive resigned after the elections.
