TRINIDAD and Tobago disc jockeys DJ Ana and Ultra Simmo as well as comedian Ro’dey The Entertainer will be starring in a new Los Angeles sitcom that will be aired next year.
This was confirmed in a Facebook post by DJ Ana (Anna-Leesa Ramnarine) on Thursday.
She said she was starring in the LA-based sitcom House out of Order.
DJ Ana plays a Trinidad character called Lisa and also in the cast is her co-deejay Ultra Simmo (Jordon Simmons) and Ro’dey The Entertainer (Rodell Cumberbatch).
She posted, “A few months ago I put this out into the universe…and here I am today, in Los Angeles, completing my first day of rehearsal and Table Reads for Episode One and Two! I’m so excited to be able to work with the world-famous Producer/Writer/Director @bentleyevans who was co-creator and showrunner for the Jamie Foxx Show and showrunner for the show ‘Martin’ on Fox etc. Can’t wait for y’all to see this TV Show! I’m playing a character called ‘Lisa’ who is TRINIDADIAN #represent p.s. so proud to do this with my fellow Trinis Ultra Simmo and Ro’dey.”
