THE salon doors can swing open from Monday again as personal services are now allowed.
The announcement came from Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh on Saturday during the Ministry of Health’s virtual press conference with the authorisation of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.
All real estate services will also be operational from Monday, the minister announced.
Deyalsingh said spas, beauty parlours, nail salons, hairdressers, barbers and domestic workers are now allowed to operate.
However, he appealed to those workers to maintain all health and safety protocols especially the wearing of the mask “ as far as humanly possible.”
He also said while domestic workers were allowed, this should be of concern especially if the persons were unvaccinated coming into the household.
The opening of beaches was not yet being considered, Deyalsingh said.
He added that there was a great health risk still with the re-opening of these sectors.
