POLICE are looking into three murders.
In the first incident, a poultry farm supervisor was harvesting fresh seasoning around 1.30pm on Saturday at Non Pariel Road, Fishing Pond, Sangre Grande, when he detected a foul odour.
He observed a corpse about ten feet off the western side of the roadway. He called the Sangre Grande Police and ASP Fitzworm, acting Insp Simon, Sgt Harper, acting Sgt Khan together with officers of the Sangre Grande CID and Eastern Division Task Force visited the scene.
They saw the body of what appeared to be a male of African descent, laying on it’s back. Both hands and feet were bound together at the back of the body with a blue coloured rope and the body appeared to be in the early stages of decomposition.
The scene was visited by acting Sgt Ramjohn and Cpl Rahim of Homicide Bureau Region 2. The District Medical Officer Dr Lakshmi Dial visited viewed the body that showed no visible injury due to the state of decomposition, police said.
The body was taken to the Forensic Science Centre where a post mortem is to be done.

Body found in Laventille
In a separate incident, around 8.30pm on Saturday PC Antoine and a party of officers attached to the Inter-Aency Task Force at Fort Chacon Base were on mobile patrol in the Laventille area and responded to a wireless transmission via the Police Command Centre to a report of a person lying motionless at Gibson Trace, Laventille.
On arrival, the officers met with other police units from Besson Street Station and Port-of-Spain Task Force base.
They saw the body of an African male, brown complexion and cornrow hairstyle clad in a yellow jersey with blue and red short pants and Jordan sneakers lying motionless along the roadway. The scene was visited by DMO Dr Ryan Ojar who viewed the body and ordered its removal. Also visiting were Asp Walker, Insp Knott along with Insp Sookram of the Besson Street CID, Insp Lynch along with PC Persad and PC Francis of Homicide Bureau. WPC Liverpool and a party of officers of the Homicide Crime Scene Unit processed the scene.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained and inquiries are continuing by personnel of Homicide Bureau.
Fatal shooting in Petit Valley
In another incident, Joshua Jamal Robles, 20, and his girlfriend were returning to their apartment at Fourth Street (Backayard), Sparrow Drive, Simeon Road, Petit Valley around 8.50 pm on Saturday.
Police said on reaching the yard area, a gunman wearing a black long sleeve jacket, long pants and black fisher’s hat approached them, pointed a firearm at Robles and fired several shots.
His girlfriend ran off and Robles ran into the apartment where he collapsed and died.
PC Mohammed of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region 1 is investigating.
