COAST Guard officers have held an American and three Venezuelans in a boat off Soldado Rock in the Gulf of Paria on Saturday.
Reports indicated that the four were intercepted on a boat and were unable to provide documentation about their arrival into Trinidad and Tobago.
The American, 44, and the three Venezuelans, ages 30 to 48-years-old, tried to elude the Coast Guard, police said.
They were handed over to officers of the South Western Division Task Force at the Cedros Police Station.
The men are currently awaiting to be placed into quarantine.
