NINE persons died from Covid-19 on Saturday.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1005) reported 440 new positive cases.
The ministry also stated that 128, 395 boosters have been administered while 50.1% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
The 9 deaths included:

3 elderly men

4 elderly women

2 middle-aged men
Five out of nine persons had multiple comorbidities, two persons each had one comorbidity while the other had no known medical conditions.
Some of the comorbidities included diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, heart disease, dementia, a history of strokes and benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 12,860 or 83.5%, while 2,543 or 16.5% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021 to February 2, 2022.
