SEVEN persons were arrested and quantities of ammunition and narcotics seized by officers of the Southern Division.
The suspects were arrested on Wednesday during ongoing anti-crime exercises conducted in the Ste Madeleine and San Fernando districts.

One operation was conducted between 8 am and 7 pm during which officers of the San Fernando Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Operations and Southern Division Anti-Gang Unit, continued investigations into several reports of motor vehicle larceny in the Division.
The intelligence-led operation and diligent work of the officers resulted in the arrest of four male suspects, ages 29 to 61, of San Fernando, South Oropouche, Marabella and Pleasantville.
In the Ste Madeleine district, officers conducted an exercise between 12 noon and 6 pm in which officers arrested three male suspects, ages 35 to 49, of Ste Madeleine, San Fernando and Princes Town, for various offences.
The offences included Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Cocaine, Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm and Assault Occasioning a Wound.
Investigations are ongoing into all of the above matters.
