4 Murders Heartbreaking says Kamla

THE murders of four people all under the age of 20 in the Heights of Guanapo, Arima is a most heartbreaking act.

Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar sent condolences to the families of Faith Peterkin, 10,  Ariana Peterkin,14, Shane Peterkin,17 and Tiffany Peterkin, 19, who were shot and killed while they were asleep on Thursday morning.

She wrote on her Facebook page on Friday, “The murder of these beautiful and innocent children is a most heartbreaking act which has brought hurt and pain to all our citizens.

 “I know that no matter what anyone may say, words can never heal the wound that has been ripped open. The killing of these innocent children yesterday strikes at the very heart of our nation.”

“To all the family members, may you all find peace and strength during this difficult time and please know that the love and support of Trinidad and Tobago is with you,” Persad-Bissessar.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley addressing the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday evening also lamented on the killings.
