FOUR more Covid-19 deaths have been reported on Thursday in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1024) reported 462 new positive cases.
The ministry also stated that 139,531 boosters have been administered while 50.4% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
The four deaths included:
- 2 elderly men;
- 1 elderly woman; and
- 1 middle-aged woman.
Three out of four persons had multiple comorbidities while one person had no known medical condition.
Some of the diseases included diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and congestive cardiac failure.

Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 13,838 or 82.7%, while 2,906 or 17.3% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to March 9, 2022.

January: 535 deaths, 19, 650 cases
February: 224 deaths, 16, 218 cases
March 1: 4 deaths, 280 cases;
March 2: 5 deaths, 546 cases;
March 3: 5 deaths, 285 cases;
March 4: 7 deaths, 345 cases;
March 5: 3 deaths, 642 cases;
March 6: 7 deaths, 437 cases;
March 7: 6 deaths, 132 cases;
March 8: 2 deaths, 432 cases;
March 9: 2 deaths, 414 cases;
March 10: 4 deaths, 462 cases.
