ON the first day of a new rollback of Covid-19 measures, Trinidad and Tobago records two deaths due to the viral and 82 new cases.
It means that four people have died over the past 48 hours and 167 cases have been reported between Wednesday and Thursday.
The Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh announced a number of rollback measures on Wednesday including the closure of all beaches in Trinidad and Tobago.
The number of Covid-19 related deaths in T&T now stands at 150.
Of the 82 cases reported on Thursday, three are recently repatriated persons.
The ministry stated in its latest update that the number of cases reported were taken from samples during the period April 12 to April 14.
