ARIMA- POLICE have arrested 22 people and seized six excavators in an exercise in Arima between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Officers of the Illegal Quarrying Unit conducted the exercise under Operation Strike Back II after surveillance in three illegal quarry sites in Manuel Congo in Arima.
The exercise was coordinated by acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Jayson Forde, acting Assistant Commissioner of Police James and acting Senior Supeeintendent David and included personnel from the Commissioner of State Lands and the Office of the Director of Minerals.
