TWO people have been fatally shot while at a minimart along the Maracas Royal Road in Maracas St Joseph on Tuesday.
Police said Sharlene Ramkissoon, 39, and Darie Simon, 37, were in the minimart near to Acono Road, St Joseph, around 3.50 p.m. on Tuesday, when gunmen ran up to them and opened fire.
Ramkissoon died on the scene but Simon who was rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex was pronounced dead on arrival.
Post mortems are expected to take place on Wednesday at the Forensic Science Centre in St James
