TWO police officers were arrested for human trafficking and gang-related activities on Monday night.
Police said the officers were held along with a Venezuelan national during an anti-crime exercise in the Central Division.
The officers attached to the Central Division also live in the district and were held after their homes and lockers at the station were searched, police said.
The operation included officers of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT), the Counter-Trafficking Unit and a special task force, established by Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith, with human trafficking being part of their overall mandate.
Investigations are ongoing and further arrests are imminent, police said.
