THERE were two deaths due to Covid-19 in the past week.
The Ministry of Health stated in its latest update (#1,249), for the period April 12, 2023 to April 18, 2023, there were 93 new positive cases.
The two deaths were one elderly man and one middle-aged man both with multiple comorbidities.
Weekly Covid-19 updates will now be issued on a fortnightly basis, the ministry stated.
The update also stated that 174,789 boosters have been administered while 51.4% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
