A salary relief grant will be instituted for individuals who have been temporarily displaced by the Covid-1 pandemic.
The grant will be $1,500 per month for three months in the first instance.
This was revealed by Minister of Finance Colm Imbert at a news conference at the Diplomatic Centre in St Ann’s on Monday.
Imbert said the grant will be run by the National Insurance Board (NIB) since it already has a data base of employed people.
He said this measure will cost the Government $400 million over the next three months.
