SINCE the Covid-19 pandemic started more than 125,000 people have tested positive in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1009) reported 722 new positive cases, bringing the total since March 12, 2020, to 125,210.
The ministry also reported 14 more deaths.
The ministry also stated that 131,890 boosters have been administered while 50.1% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.
The 14 deaths included:

3 elderly women

3 middle-aged men

2 middle-aged women
Nine persons out of the 14 had multiple comorbidities, while four others had one comorbidity each and one had no known medical condition.
Some of the comorbidities included diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, dementia, asthma, a history of strokes, cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 12,860 or 83.5%, while 2,543 or 16.5% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to February 2, 2022.
