SINCE the pandemic started in 2020, more than 120,000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus.
And the Ministry of Health also reported that 12 persons have died from Covid-19 on Saturday.
In its latest update (#998), the ministry reported 777 new positive cases. This means that 120,003 people have tested positive in Trinidad and Tobago since March 12, 2020 when the first case was reported.
The 12 deaths included:

5 elderly men

7 elderly women
Nine persons out of the 12 had multiple comorbidities, while three others had one comorbidity each.
Some of the comorbidities included diabetes, hypertension, Alzheimer’s diseases, cancer, thyroid diseases, kidney disease and a history of strokes.
The ministry also stated that 121,030 boosters have been administered while 49.8% of the population of Trinidad and Tobago is fully vaccinated.

Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 12,550 or 83.8%, while 2,427 or 16.2% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to January 26, 2022.

February 1: 8 deaths, 470 cases;
February 2: 11 deaths, 660 cases;
February 3: 10 deaths, 638 cases;
February 4: 15 deaths, 581 cases;
February 5: 6 deaths, 867 cases;
February 6: 6 deaths, 505 cases;
February 7: 7 deaths, 573 cases;
February 8: 19 deaths, 926 cases;
February 9: 9 deaths, 756 cases;
February 10: 6 deaths, 738 cases;
