FINANCE Minister Colm Imbert is saying that the Trinidad and Tobago media are confused.
In a Twitter post on Friday he said, “Media confused again. On Wed in the Senate, I said that foreign insurance companies will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO OPERATE using branches in TT but will have to establish LOCAL COMPANIES to do insurance business here. The media said I said they will have to operate with TT branches!”
And in another post a few hours later, Imbert also knocked those people criticising the announcement by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley that the Loran-Manatee gas arrangement will now be pursued independently by Trinidad and Venezuela.
In another tweet, Imbert said, “The so-called “experts” continue to make mischief as part of the Opposition’s campaign of chaos. The NEW agreement for the development of the Manatee Field will quickly produce 4 times as much gas as the Dragon Field. So how could the suspension of the Dragon depress the economy?”
