Close to 1,200 tested for Covid-19 in TT

CLOSE to 1,200 people have been tested for Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.

In its latest update (#127) on Wednesday morning, the Ministry of Health stated that 1,195 “unique patient tests” were completed.

It stated that 1,425 samples were submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency and that 230 were repeated test on patients.

There were now 115 people who have tested positive with eight deaths.

The release stated that an additional nine people have been discharged bringing the total number to 37. It noted that the discharges included five from the stepdown facility at Brooklyn in Sangre Grande, three from the Couva Hospital and Multi-training Facility and one from the Caura Hospital.
