Zero Covid-19 Deaths Sunday, 146 New Cases

FOR the first time since April 26, last year, no deaths related to Covid-19 were reported in Trinidad and Tobago.

Since the first recorded death on March 12, 2020, 3,800 persons have now passed away due to the coronavirus in T&T.

The Ministry of Health in its latest update (#1062) on Sunday reported 146 new positive cases.

Active cases: 6,319

Deaths: 3,800

Total deaths by vaccination status as at April 13, 2022: 3,135 (not fully vaccinated), 267 (fully vaccinated), 390 prior to the vaccination programme.

Patients in hospital: 152

Total persons fully vaccinated: 710,556

Total persons not fully vaccinated: 689,444

Boosters administered: 148, 817

Patients in the parallel healthcare system who were not fully vaccinated were 14,481 or 82%, while 3,182 or 18% were fully vaccinated based on data from July 22, 2021, to April 13, 2022.

April 11: 3 deaths, 125 cases;

April 12: 4 deaths, 324 cases;

April 15: 4 deaths, 249 cases;

April 16: 2 deaths, 223 cases

April 17: 0 Deaths, 12 Cases
