The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) in its mobile app had appealed at 5 pm to motorists to exercise patience as the accident resulted in an increase in traffic congestion.

Highway patrol officers were at the scene assisting with directing traffic until late evening.

President of Arrive Alive Sharon Inglefield shared her sentiments regarding the death of Hatem with AZP News.
She said, “Tragic loss of life once again! Our sincere condolences to the family.”
Inglefield said several factors could be involved in what causes a vehicular death
 including one’s health.
