POLICE arrest a woman after finding a quantity of marijuana and cocaine in a St James house on Friday.
A release of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Sunday stated that officers of the Western Division by the Western Division Task Force (WDTF) and the National Operations Task Force (NOTF) conducted a joint anti-crime exercise between 6 pm and 10 pm on Friday.
During the exercise, police executed a search warrant for dangerous drugs at a residence located at Salazar Street, St James.
During the search, a blue handle bag containing five packages containing marijuana, as well as a clear plastic package containing cocaine was found.
Police seized the narcotics and arrested a woman who was taken to the St James Police Station.
When weighed the marijuana amounted to 2,722 grammes and the cocaine weighed 253 grammes.
The exercise was spearheaded by Snr Supt Remy, coordinated by Supt Henry and ASP Browne, supervised by Insp Grant, Sgt Carmona and included Cpl Robinsons, Cpl Khan, as well as Cpl Nicholas, Cpl D’Heureux of the NOTF, and PC Clement, PC Seebaran, PC Charles, PC Christopher.
