ENGLAND have levelled the series against West Indies in a 113 victory at Old Trafford on Monday.
Match of the Match Ben Stokes was England’s hero. He made 176 in the first innings and an unbeaten 78 from 57 balls in their second innings that allowed his returning captain Joe Root to declare before lunch on the last day setting the Caribbean side 312 to win.
England declared in both innings on 469 for nine in the first and 129 for three in the second.
West Indies just avoided the follow by scoring 287 in their first innings.
They were all out for 198 in the second innings.
The third test starts at the same venue on Friday.
