THE official website of the Commission of Enquiry into the circumstances leading to and surrounding the deaths of four divers on February, 25, has been launched.
In a short release on Thursday, the CoE stated that the public can visit the website which also allows access to the Commission’s Procedural Rules and provides contact details for the Commission’s Secretariat.
The CoE is tasked with investigating the deaths of Fazal Kurban, Rishi Nagassar, Yusuf Henry and Kazim Ali Jr that occurred at facilities operated by Paria Trading Co. Ltd. in Pointe-a Pierre.
On July 7, newly appointed chair Jerome Lynch, QC promised to “leave no stone unturned” in the investigation.
Attorney Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj, advisor to the Commission said then that public notices would be published on the Commission’s website and in the media to invite persons who have relevant evidence to submit statements and documents to the Commission.
The Commission would then determine whether that evidence is relevant in the context of the Terms of Reference.
