THERE will be an increase in Saharan dust concentration over the Easter weekend.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has stated the country is facing one of the most significant Saharan dust events of the year thus far.
In an update on Wednesday, TTMS stated, “The peak of the event is expected to occur overnight and tomorrow (April 14), however, significant concentrations are likely to persist until early next week.”
The Met Office has advised persons who are usually susceptible to these events to take the necessary precautions.

FORECAST: Hazy and breezy/windy despite showers over a few areas. Hazy and warm night.
Caution: There is a significant concentration of Saharan dust present in the atmosphere. Sensitive persons should take the necessary precautions.
