As I indicated yesterday the South Americans seem to have a serious problem scoring goals and cannot only rely on the genius of Messi.

It is time the others step up. If I were the coach, I would place Gonzales on the bench for the rest of the tournament for his misses – none easier than in the 80th minute when Messi with a sublime pass picked him out. All he had to do was put the header on goal, and he missed. This was not his first opportunity, he also had two other clear chances.
Messi magic occurred in the 33rd minute with a brilliant free kick. It was a reminder of the genius he can be when given the chance. He tried all night but was continually let down by his teammates. Argentina had 18 shots on goal and could only convert one. If they are to proceed in the tournament and be a threat then they must start to score. Goals win matches and not chances. Time to convert.
PARAGUAY VS BOLIVA SCORE 3-1 ESTADIO OLPIMPICO 14/06/21
As I predicted Paraguay came out as the victors with a 3-1 defeat for Bolivia. I did expect the dominance of the Paraguayan team. They had 79% possession, 34 shots on goals, 11 on target and 649 passes. Talk about controlling a game.
Even though they went behind due to a penalty in the 10th minute converted by Saaverda they roared back to score 3. Kaku 62nd minute strike and a brace by Romero in the 65th and 80th sealed the deal against a 10 man Bolivian team.
Copa takes a break and resumes on Thursday 17th.

Columbia vs Venezuela 17/06/21 5pm Estadio Olimpico
I predict another mauling for Venezuela and a similar score line to what Brazil achieve against them. This should be an easy match for Columbia and they must ensure the get all the points. Prediction 3- 0 Colombia
Brazil vs Peru 17/06/21 8pm Olympic stadium
I predict another Brazilian victory but this is a much tougher outing for Brazil. This game will not be as easy as the last one but I expect Brazil to come out on top. Prediction 3-1 Brazil
