Veteran Photographer Maharaj Cremated

VETERAN photographer Krishna Maharaj was cremated on Tuesday after a private funeral ceremony at Dass Funeral home in Chaguanas.

Maharaj, 70, died on Saturday of cardiac arrest.

He worked for 50 years in the media.

He was Chief Photographer at the Express and also worked at the Trinidad Guardian and Newsday. Upon his retirement he opened the Trinidad and Tobago School of Photography (TTSOP) and trained hundreds in his specialty.

At the cremation at Waterloo a number of his former colleagues were present.

Minister of Agriculture Kazim Hosein whose daughter went to the TTSOP was at the cremation as well.
