VETERAN journalist Errol Pilgrim has died.
He passed away at around 3am on Wednesday following surgery at Eric Williams Medical Complex, Mt Hope. He was 78.
Pilgrim who lived at Brazil Village, Arima, worked at TTT before it was dismantled and he was the first lead political writer of the Express under the late editor Owen Baptiste.
He is survived by his wife Carol, and children Kwame, Kofi and Anika Pilgrim-Gaspard.
On Facebook, journalist Sampson Nanton posted, “A real veteran who has contributed so much to journalism and set a high bar for all under him to follow. Learnt a lot from him in my early years. The media has lost another great teacher in Errol Pilgrim. May he rest in peace.”
Another veteran media personality Neil Giuseppi wrote, “Another journalistic warrior has fallen.”
