THE United States Agency for International Development/Eastern and Southern Caribbean (USAID/ESC), headquartered in Bridgetown, Barbados, will establish a field office in Trinidad and Tobago later this year.
This is according to a press release from the US Embassy on Tuesday.
USAID/ESC is a regional office responsible for overseeing programs throughout the Eastern and Southern Caribbean, with staff currently located in Barbados and Guyana.
USAID/ESC regional representative Clinton White said, “USAID/ESC’s programs have always included working with the government and local NGOs in Trinidad and Tobago. Opening a USAID field office at the U.S. Embassy in Port of Spain is a testament to our commitment of strengthening our strong partnership with the government and people of Trinidad and Tobago.”
USAID/ESC is also planning to expand its field presence to other countries in the sub-region this year, the release stated.
