AMBASSADOR of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Cuba Hazza Alkaabi made a three-day visit to Trinidad and Tobago.
During his visit, he paid a courtesy call to Minister of Legal Affairs Saddam Hosein.
The meeting took place on Tuesday at the offices of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Port of Spain.
Alkaabi’s three-day visit to Trinidad and Tobago also included engagements with other ministries, demonstrating a mutual interest in fostering international cooperation and knowledge exchange, a release from the Ministry of Legal Affairs stated.
The ministry stated, a key highlight of the meeting was Hosein’s commitment to ensuring easier access to essential official documents for citizens, such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, deeds and others.
In line with this priority, Alkaabi shared valuable insights into the “TAMM” solution currently utilised in the UAE, the release stated.
TAMM is a comprehensive digital platform designed to streamline government services, providing a unified interface that simplifies interactions for residents, visitors, and businesses.
By centralising access to information and services, TAMM significantly enhances efficiency and user convenience in navigating various government departments.
Alkaabi expressed his commitment to arranging a future presentation of the TAMM technology to a multi-ministerial team from the government.
“This forthcoming engagement will provide a deeper understanding of the system’s capabilities and its applicability within Trinidad and Tobago’s public service framework,” the ministry stated.
The ministry also stated it remains dedicated to the mission of improving access to vital documents and the discussion represented a significant step towards exploring innovative, digitally-driven solutions.
