TWO Glencoe men are in hospital after being injured in a drive-by shooting.
On Monday night, shortly before 8 pm, gunshots echoed through the sleepy Glencoe valley when gunmen opened fire on a house located along La Horquette Valley Road.
The two men, identified as Dequan De Coteau and Dexter Duncan were shot. De Coteau was hit in the upper body and hand, and Duncan was shot in the foot.
Both men were taken to hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition.
AZP visited the scene on Tuesday morning and spoke to a witness in the area.
He said he was just down the road when he heard the explosive gunshots. Seconds later, he said a dark blue SUV sped past him as he ran up the road.
The witness said he was informed two men opened fire on a group liming in the front of the house, one assailant had a handgun, while the other was armed with a shotgun.
Shaking his head, he said children were nearby when the incident happened and was thankful none of them were hurt.
Several bullet holes were seen in the wall surrounding the property, as well as a bloody handprint.
