TRINCITY – POLICE arrest two men who tampered with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at Trincity Mall on Sunday.
A release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that around 4.30 p.m. on Sunday officers of the Fraud Squad Task Force, acting on intelligence, went to the mall’s Scotiabank ATM where they observed the machine to be rigged with a foreign device.
The officers then saw two men approach the machine and removed the device.
The men were arrested and found to be in possession of over 21 counterfeit cards.
A video with the men lying on the ground in the mall under police guard was posted on social media.
