THE US Embassy in Port of Spain announces that Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPOST) will be providing courier services for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applicants.
This will start on Monday.
The announcement was made on Friday in a press release.
Applicants with scheduled appointments need not take any action, as their delivery selection has already been automatically updated in the visa appointment system, the release stated.
It stated that in the future, they will receive instructions via email on how to track their delivery and receive their visa documents after their consular interview.
Visa applicants were no longer required to purchase return envelopes or TrackPaks for passport return delivery, the release stated.
The Embassy stated that for visa applicants who qualify for the interview waiver process, updated instructions will be sent via email through the visa appointment system, detailing the mailing process for visa applications and the authorised TTPOST locations where the applications can be dropped off.
To address specific inquiries or seek additional information, individuals are encouraged to visit the Consular Navigator on the Port of Spain Visa Unit section of the US Embassy website at tt.usembassy.gov. General information on the visa application process is also available on the Information and Appointment website at http://trinidadandtobago.usvisa-info.com, or applicants can contact the Visa Call Center at 1-(868)-235-4500 between Monday and Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
This change, implemented by the US Embassy in Port of Spain, aims to enhance efficiency and customer experience in the visa application process, the release stated.
It stated that by partnering with the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation, applicants can expect smoother document courier services and streamlined delivery processes.
