FOR this weekend only, the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) is offering free calls to St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) through bmobile.
A media release from TSTT on Friday stated, “The intent of this initiative is to help customers stay in touch with friends and family affected by the recent eruption of the La Soufriere volcano.”
The initiative takes effect at 12.01 am on Saturday and comes to an end at 11.59 pm on Sunday. The Company is monitoring the situation in SVG and states that there is a strong possibility of extending the initiative beyond April 11.
Calls can be made from all bmobile prepaid and postpaid mobile numbers at no cost to the customer. For prepaid customers, no credit will be required to place the call, nor will any credit be deducted from their existing balance. Postpaid customers who call SVG over the weekend will see no additional charges added to their monthly bill, the company stated.
Acting TSTT’s Chief Executive Officer Lisa Agard said, “bmobile empathises with our CARICOM brothers and sisters in St Vincent and the Grenadines in the wake of this tragedy. Our customers are the heartbeat of our company and we understand that their top priority right now is to know that their friends and family in St Vincent and the Grenadines are safe.
“We are keeping abreast of developments in SVG, and we will provide as much support as possible.”
