ONE month ago, on July 9, the San Fernando General Hospital was abuzz with joy and excitement as staff and doctors celebrated the birth of triplets.
The proud parents, Amit Soodeen and Orianna Lopez, welcomed two boys and one girl into their family.
The South West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) released a statement on Tuesday applauding the medical team’s dedication and commitment to ensuring a safe delivery and providing exceptional care.
It stated, “The SWRHA applauds and recognise our medical teams for their dedication and commitment in ensuring the safe delivery as well as the provision of excellent care with compassion and competence.”
The medical team responsible for this delivery included Dr Deyanta Dipchan, acting Specialist Medical Officer Dr Shazaana Mohammed, Specialist Medical Officer and acting Head of Department, Dr Barry O’Donoghue, Specialist Medical Officer, Dr Shivon Hosein, Registrar, and Dr Wendell Cozier, Specialist Medical Officer.
