CHAIRMAN of the Tobago Regional Health Authority has resigned.
The Tobago’s Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development issued a press release on Wednesday stating that Melville, an attorney in private practice served on the board for seven years.
Her resignation comes at a time when the TRHA is battling the Covid-19 virus with increasing cases daily. No reason was given for her resignation.
The Division’s Secretary Tracy Davidson-Celestine stated, “ Ms Melville has served the board admirably and we are grateful for her time and dedication over the seven year period. Her institutional knowledge is of tremendous value and will leave a definitive gap.”
The Division wished Melville the best in her future endeavours while understanding the demands of the legal profession.
TRHA’s Deputy Chair Beverly Nola Adams will lead the board effective from Wednesday until a suitable and swift replacement is made, the Division stated.
