SIMON Wiltshire is the new Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective from Tuesday.
He replaced his predecessor Sheldon Cyrus who held the position for a period of nine months.
In a release from TRHA on Tuesday, it stated that Wiltshire had a wealth of experience in healthcare management, general administration, quality control, project management and occupational safety and health.
His last position held was Deputy Director – Administration, Occupational Safety and Health Agency, which he left to join the TRHA.
Wiltshire also served on the Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival Association and has been active with the Lydian Singers, HIV Advocacy, Trinity Junior School and the Governing Body of Trinity College boards.
He has a Master’s in Health Administration degree from the University of Trinidad and Tobago, a Master of Business Administration degree from the Oxford Brookes University, UK, a BSC in Natural Sciences, Diploma in Health Informatics Barbados Community College and other qualifications.
Wiltshire was also a certified Manager of Quality/Organisational Excellence (CMQ/OE) graduate with the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
In addition, his professional experience is rich with roles within the and Planning, Ministry of Health, Turks and Caicos Islands, Entomology Technologist, Caribbean Epidemiology Centre (CAREC) and other major sectors.
