MINISTER of Transport Eli Zakour visits the Licensing Division’s Head Office in Caroni on Tuesday as part of an early official duty as a newly-appointed office.
This was confirmed by the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure via media release.
The release stated that the visit was part of his commitment to transformation, service excellence and citizen engagement.
During the visit, he met with staff and engaged directly with members of the public, gaining insight into day-to-day operations and areas in need of improvement.
The Ministry stated that Zakour also held discussions with Transport Commissioner Clive Clarke, Permanent Secretary Sonia Francis-Yearwood and other senior officials. The meeting held, gave a broad overview of the division’s operations.
The Ministry added that the visit was aligned with the Government’s overall plan to streamline public services, improve efficiency, and enhance customer service delivery.
It stated that at the end of the visit, Zakour reaffirmed his commitment to building the institutional capacity of the Licensing Division to meet the needs of citizens and support national development.
