THERE will be a temporary traffic disruption in Port of Spain until the end of the month, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation stated in a release on Tuesday.

The ministry stated there will be a temporary traffic disruption along Park Street and Duke Street, Port of Spain, from Richmond Street to Piccadilly Street from March 11 to March 31 between 7 am and 3 pm.

 The Ministry stated the disruption was necessary to facilitate civil works for the installation of new traffic signal infrastructure, which included trenching across the roadway and paving.

Motorists were advised to comply with the following:

• Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.
• Comply with instructions from Police Officers or flag persons on-site, to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
• Be aware of equipment in the work zone and when entering/exiting the site.
• Drive at a reduced speed and proceed with caution when approaching the work zone.

The Ministry apologized for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for its cooperation.
