Top Cop, PCA Probe Video with Woman Wearing Police Jacket

THE Commissioner of Police Erla Harewood-Christopher and the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) have separately launched an investigation into a video showing a woman liming in what appears to be a police uniform.

The TTPS in a release on Monday stated that the woman in the video which has gone viral on social media was seen wearing a TTPS issued operational shirt and a pair of black tights not in keeping with the policy which guides the proper use of uniforms issued to police officers.

Police officers were also reminded that police issued uniforms must be cared for in accordance with established TTPS policies and guidelines.

In a release on Monday the PCA  stated that it was aware of videos and photographs that have been circulating on social media of an individual at a social event partially attired in a Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) issued uniform jacket.

It stated, “The PCA wishes to inform the public that pursuant to Section 26 of the PCA Act, Chapter 15:05, it has initiated an independent investigation into the incident.

“The PCA is dedicated to promoting public confidence in the Trinidad and Tobago justice system and invites members of the public to share any information they may have related to the investigation and are asked to kindly contact the PCA at 226-4722 or at info@pca.org.tt.”
