MANAGER of the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) Colin Borde says while former captain Dwayne Bravo will be missed, the team was still a close-knit unit with various skillsets in players.

He was commenting on Bravo going to play with the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in this year’s edition of the Caribbean Premier League.

Borde admitted on Friday that Bravo will be missed on the TKR lineup and that he “helped to mold a powerful unit over the years with his experience and selflessness.”

In a comment to AZPNews.com via WhatsApp, he said, “We have in our midst a very close-knit unit with immense skillsets, led by the white ball leader in Kieron Pollard.”

TKR captain Pollard will be assisted by Narine as vice-captain with wicketkeeper/batsman Denesh Ramdin returning to his homeland franchise from SKNP in the swap for Bravo.

Borde said, “Dwayne has been a wonderful leader of the team and we are sure that he will as usual, take all his experience and skills to help develop other young players.

“He has always risen to challenges and with opportunity to develop cricket, we applaud and will always support his efforts.”

Borde said having Ramdin return was always a great feeling as he brought experience and a deep sense of commitment to TKR.
