THURSDAY and Friday are public holidays in Trinidad and Tobago.
Corpus Christi and Indian Arrival Day public holidays both fall on Thursday May 30, this year. When two holidays fall on a weekday, the following day is also given as one, according to the Public Holidays and Festivals Act.
A release on Tuesday from the Office of the Prime Minister – Communications stated, “In accordance with the provisions of Section 3 (2) of the Public Holidays and Festivals Act, Chapter 19:05, the public is hereby notified that Friday May 31, 2024, will be recognised as a public holiday in Trinidad and Tobago. This is due to the celebration of both Corpus Christi and Indian Arrival Day public holidays on Thursday May 30, 2024.”
