DENESE Toby-Quashie has been appointed the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Chief Administrator in an acting position.
She was welcomed to her new role on Monday by THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine at the Office of the Chief Administrator, Smithfield Plaza, in Scarborough.
Augustine also introduced her to the Office of the Chief Secretary staff also located at Smithfield Plaza.
The THA in a release on Monday stated that last Friday, the Office of the Prime Minister notified the THA that Toby-Quashie will act as THA’s Chief Administrator.
Toby-Quashie is experienced in an administrative role, having held administrative positions in more than one Division of the THA, and this year held the position of an administrator in the Division of Health Wellness and Social Protection.
The appointment of a Chief Administrator has been a contentious one for both Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and Augustine with Dr Rowley promising to resign if his statements on the issue proved to be untrue.
