A taxi driver was arrested for being in the possession of a loaded Taurus pistol in Claxton Bay on Wednesday (January 1).
A release of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) stated that officers of the Southern Division Task Force proceeded to St Margaret’s Village, Claxton Bay around 6.15 p.m. on Wednesday and executed a search warrant at the home of a 23-year-old suspect.
The search resulted in one Taurus pistol loaded with an extended magazine containing 18 rounds of ammunition being discovered, the release stated.
The suspect who was in the house at the time of the search was arrested in connection with the find.
