POLICE apprehended a 22-year-old robbery suspect of Sea Lots in a recent anti-crime exercise conducted by the Port of Spain Division on Monday.
A release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Tuesday stated that around 6.50 pm on Monday, PC Oxely and PC Huggins and other officers were patrolling Pioneer Drive in Sea Lots when they noticed an individual fitting the description of a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred at City Gate on January 22, 2024.
The officers stopped and searched the suspect, who lives on Pioneer Drive. The search led to the discovery of a knife, 70 grammes of marijuana and a walkie-talkie in the suspect’s possession. Seizing the items as evidence, the officers arrested the suspect and transported him to the Besson Street Police Station.
The investigations into this case are being carried out by PC Oxely. ACP Maraj and Snr Supt Ramnarine, with the support of ASP Soodeen, Insp Sooklalsingh, and Sgt Alexander coordinated the exercise, the release stated.
